Exploration Geologist                                                                          May 2013-Present

Acapella Holdings, Ltd., Atacama, Chile

  • Modeled alteration and mineralization of more than 5,000 samples in a porphyry copper-gold-molybdenum environment in the Atacama Desert region of Chile using soil and rock assay data, geochemical and geostatistical procedures, and GIS mapping in Reflex ioGAS and MapInfo Discover software packages
  • Wrote 10 technical reports to compile relevant geologic and property background information, to detail results of geochemical studies, and created a vein and mineralization style guide for the property
  • Designed and executed lithogeochemical rock sampling campaign to identify alteration haloes and vector towards mineralization in two of the claim blocks of approximately 10 square miles
  • Logged 7,500 meters of diamond drillcore in detail and used optical petrography to analyze drillcore samples (lithology, alteration, veining, mineralization, and microstructures) and establish controls on mineralization occurrences to determine exploration targets

Exploration Geologist                                                                             July-September 2012
Equity Exploration Consultants, Ltd., British Columbia, Canada

  • Logged approximately 200 meters per day of diamond drillcore and plotted detailed cross-sections for each drillhole to identify geologic correlations between holes and the locations of mineralization for an alkalic porphyry copper-gold-molybdenum system in British Columbia, Canada
  • Analyzed geochemical assays and structural data in Microsoft Excel and MapInfo Discover to determine five additional drill targets that intersected up to 0.2% copper and 5 grams per ton gold
  • Performed quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) procedures on over 5,000 meters of drillcore samples and maintained Microsoft Access-based core logging and QA/QC database
  • Assisted senior geologist to manage $2.3 million exploration project budget that supported six geologic and technical staff; AS350-B3 Astar helicopter operations; 10 semi-permanent tent camp site maintenance; and two 24-hour drills employing nine people
