Conducted intensive field mapping and rock sampling of the alteration center and collected gas and gas condensate samples on the active dome at Kawah Ijen Volcano (Java, Indonesia).

Annual field study conducted to a country determined by departmental students. During the course of the trip, local geologic terranes are examined and mines and exploration projects are toured. There is also exposure to local cultures. Through this trip, I have visited South Africa, Lesotho, Guatemala, Belize, Tanzania, and Colombia.

McGill University, Field School

Two-week field study of the Trans-Mexican Volcanic Belt in which volcanic deposits were investigated, six volcanoes were studied in detail and two volcanoes were climbed.
